CALGARY - The group that owns the Calgary Flames hockey club and Stampeders football team has revealed a massive, $900-million plan to build a new home for the two teams.
It calls for a 20,000-seat arena that would replace the Scotiabank Saddledome where the NHL Flames currently play. It also includes a 30,000-seat indoor football stadium for the CFL Stampeders that would also serve as a public fieldhouse.
Meg nincs eltoltve hogy mikkor kezdodik a epites de lesz uj csarnok az boztos.
CALGARY, AB -- In preparation for the 2015-16 season, InGoal Magazine sized up NHL goaltending prospects and came up with their top 50 for a recent feature run on their website.
The guidelines InGoal used to qualify prospects are as follows:
- Must be 25 years old or younger
- Have played 10 games or less in the NHL
- Must be drafted or signed by a professional club
Calgary Flames prospects Jon Gillies and Mason McDonald came in high on the list, ranking 10th and 15th respectively. Joni Ortio, with 15 NHL games under his belt, was not eligible in the rankings.
Az eredeti hozzászólás módosítva lett a felhasználó által! On August 11, 2015, Glen Campbell of CTV Sports reported that Setoguchi claims to have attended rehab and that he has been “clean and sober for five months” with hopes of signing with an NHL team.
kicsit más, de GUCCSIhoz kötődik:
Congratulations, Devin Setoguchi! Not only did you and your beautiful bride just get hitched, but you received one of the best gifts a friend can give - a choreographed dance to Sia's 'Chandeliers.'
Haven't even mentioned the best part: two of the dancers - in unitards - are former teammates, Jason Demers (Dallas Stars) and Kris Versteeg (Chicago Blackhawks). Or as they are now known, 'Bobby Sparkler and the Hockeymen Underwear NHL Dancers.'
Demers took it upon himself to release the video to the world via Twitter. (NSFW are the ... ahem ... special purposes of the dancers)
The hockey season is about to heat up for Calgary hockey fans, with the NHL on Sportsnet delivering exclusive coverage of all 82 Flames games of the 2015-16 season on television, as well as on radio on Sportsnet 960 The FAN. The first puck drops on Sportsnet at 8 p.m. MT/10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 7 – opening night of the NHL regular season – as the Flames begin at home with a re-match of last year’s first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs opponent, the Vancouver Canucks.
In addition to the regular season broadcasts, Sportsnet will also broadcast two Flames pre-season match-ups on Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26.
ON TV - REGIONAL
Sportsnet West will be home to 46 regional Flames match-ups, with an additional 14 regional games airing on the Sportsnet ONE companion channel, Sportsnet Flames. The regional television broadcast schedule begins on Tuesday, Oct. 13 when the Flames host the last year’s Central Division champion St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. MT on Sportsnet Flames.
Rick Ball returns to the broadcast booth to call the play-by-play alongside analyst Kelly Hrudey, with host Roger Millions providing rinkside updates.
Azert emeltem ki, mert jelenleg ok a legjobb paros a regionalis kozvetiteseknel, mas csapatok szurkoloi is kiemelik a minimalis elfogultsagot, ill. hogy nagyon jol kiegeszitik egymast

The hockey media is mostly occupied with Hockey Canada's Summer Showcase over at Winsport this week. I was in attendance at the Markin MacPhail Centre last night as Canada skated to a 4-1 win over a team from Russia.
Calgary Flames prospect Mason McDonald was in net, so I thought it was prudent to share my thoughts on how he played.
In short? He was fine.
There's two ways to take "fine", so I want to give some context.
He was fine, in the sense that he wasn't horrible. Outside of giving up a goal just shy of four minutes into the game - on the third shot he faced, a wrister from about five feet inside the blueline - he didn't give up anything. His body language improved as the game went on and his rebound control and ability to cut down angles and anticipate traffic was strong.
That said, he was also fine, in the sense that he wasn't stellar. He was never really challenged, outside of a nice chance late in the game from Evgeni Svechnikov. He responded well late in the game, but overall he faced just 17 shots: 9 in the first period and 8 afterwards. On one hand, he wasn't busy, but he also didn't fall to pieces after that early goal or get rusty when he didn't face shots for several minutes in the later stages of the contest.
He probably helped his chances, but I doubt he'll win or lose a job on Team Canada at Christmas based on an August exhibition game against Russia. Brandon Hickey is expected to dress tonight against the Czech Republic. That game begins at 5:30pm MT on TSN2.
CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospects Mason McDonald (goaltender) and Brandon Hickey (defenceman) have been invited to Hockey Canada's U20 Summer Showcase from July 29-Aug. 6 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
